Odamex - Free Doom

Odamex is a free, open source multiplayer Doom engine, that went into production way back in July 2005, and now here in 2007 the first alpha 0.1 has been released. Unfortunately I am still unable to compile the Linux version of it on my box due to some SDL errors and problems that I am working on fixing so be sure to see a mini review of it soon once I have fixed the problems sorted

Although from what I have seen from screen shots it looks very good with the good old doom graphics that we grew up with. I will get it running under Linux an give you more info about it as soon as I can.

    so qwerty r u saying that a nwe time a doom not a major game of course like doom 3 and stuff but on lines of trem play style?

    Ahh no im not saying anything like that all. Just mentioning that there is Odamex a free opensource version of Doom2. So no its not like Doom3 its old school doom.

    Yeah it would be. But no it’s good old school Doom.
